Feat. Niki Koh (JA Musician)
WHO?
Niki Koh, 20, joined the new Jammerz Arena as a drummer back in late 2009. Being part of the graduating batch of 2011. He will be leaving Republic Poly with a Diploma in Interactive and Digital Media from The School Of Information Technology. With the taste for design and creativity, he was nominated to the position of Publicity Manager back in 2009. Being a drum teacher at "My Musical Chamber", he was nominated and appointed as JA's Drum section leader from 2009 - 2010. He is currently a drummer in Bear Culture.
Having graduated from RP, what was the biggest take away being in JA?
The biggest take away for me would none other be the ability to learn things i'd never expect to have learned for e.g. Production knowledge. Besides that, having to have made lots of really good friends and being able to learn from my peers, has no doubt made my whole learning experience a wholesome one. I have since grown from the lessons i have learned through my times spent in JA.
What would you miss most about JA?
Everything ranging from moments i shared the stage with my closest friends and family, to the stupid jokes among one another that kept us going on and happy.
Has JA developed you in anyways at all?
JA has no doubt made me a better musician and not forgetting a better person too.
How was your last year in RP like with JA?
It was probably the best year out of the 3 years I spent in RP. Sadly it all ended way too quickly.
Any advices you have for our future members?
Know what you want to achieve, practice really hard and be humble no matter what you do!
