Jammerz Arena (JA), an interest group of the CREATE Republic, that aims to provide students of Republic Poly (RP) an avenue to expand their interests in the music and the performing arts.
It is made up of students from diverse musical backgrounds and preferences, JA is a melting pot where members can come together and make music in a band.
JA faced a period of uncertainty and to the point of the group being closed down.
The new injections of the 2009 batch of members, seen a revival and vast improvement in both management and performance standards.
Boasting the best improved management system among the interest groups, JA has gone on to achieve higher and better standards in becoming a holistic performing artiste.
Attending workshops of different disciplines and going for countless shows that may seem not relevant to our own, but it has enabled the members to be exposed to both the performing arts and music.
This exposure has allowed for better development in both performing styles and musical talents.
Thanks to the support from The Republic Cultural Centre (TRCC), JA members have been given countless opportunities to showcase their skills in various forms and events.
JA produces its own shows that feature its bands and other talented music groups that reside in Republic Poly and the local music scene.
Jammerz Arena aims to continue to be an avenue to expand students' interests in the music and the performing arts.
