So what have we been up to?

Written by RP Jammerz Arena in , , , , , , , , ,

Referring to our previous post, we sure have been away for quite sometime didn't we? But we've been through so much since holidays till school kicked in!

If you've been following us on our Twitter and Facebook, then you would've known that our juniors have been through 2 internals.

The gigs are produced entirely by juniors and mentored by seniors, namely, The Initiation (2nd Sept) and Time Travel (30 Sept). You can go check out photos of the gig on our Facebook.

Apart from the gigs, Jammerz Arena went through a crew training held at the The Republic Cultural Centre Studio.

Everyone gained knowledge of how engineers and musicians work together, and learned things like, 'snake' cables, risers, and how to communicate to audio engineers with hand signals.

As school reopens, everyone worked together in reallocating equipments from the old JA room to a new, bigger, room in TRCC! Everyone worked together in shifting and to get things completed for the preparations of the new room!

In preparation of Jammerz Arena's show, Quintessential II, the senior bands have moved in to the new room for rehearsals and previews.

After a year long of happenings, here's our upcoming show that you musn't miss and should definitely mark down on your calenders.

Jammerz Arena presents Quintessential II... yes its back, this time promising something more loud, big and fresh. We'll see you on 9th Nov 11, South Agora, Republic Polytechnic.

Keep up with us through our Facebook and by our Tweets, as we update you on Jammerz Arena's Reflections Arts Festival show, Quintessential II!

IGNITE MUSIC FESTIVAL

Written by RP Jammerz Arena in , , , , , , ,

It's been a couple of weeks since IGNITE, but us here at Jammerz Arena can't definitely get over all the hype, the bright lights, the sound, the awesome stage set up, the line up of bands and the people we've met through this event..

It has been such as blast for all of us, especially since our Jammerz Arena bands, City in Motion and 99 Anchors made it through the 2 rounds of IGNITE auditions and had definitely rocked the stage by opening IGNITE itself!

JA members gathering at the side of the stage before their turn to perform...

Two from Jammerz Arena (TK and Emma) also hosted the event for both days alongside with 3 other emcees..

It is undeniably a great experience to be part of this music festival, that I'm sure the seniors and juniors of Jammerz Arena would agree.. everyone was involved in one way or another..

We've got the juniors very much involved as part of the IGNITE street team, some were handling marketing, whereas some were busy as surveyors on the days of event itself.

Seniors and juniors sweat it out working behind the scenes as the tech crew, production crew, and stage crew...

But with so much things that happened during IGNITE, it's impossible to summarize it in a post...so in the upcoming posts you'll get to see the scoop we've got, photos and videos of IGNITE 2011..

Check out our IGNITE coverage by the Jammerz Arena's Media crew ;)

So stick around guys, meanwhile you can always follow us on Twitter for updates of our posts, events, announcements, etc. ;)

Cheers!
